Hey! I’m Jimmi and thanks for taking the time to check out my site. I’m mildly (ok totally) obsessed with birds of prey and this has meant I’ve been lucky enough to work with these cool birds in a professional capacity. This page is a bit about me & my skills - check out my services page for what I offer.

I never really know what to call myself professionally, Biologist? Conservationist? Ecologist? I suppose I've ended up being a bit of all of these things with birds of prey at the very core. At the heart of my life has to be conservation though and so that’s how I’ve pigeon-holed myself - a conservationist. My career started out working self-employed with captive birds of prey which gave me some understanding of operating a business and working closely with these birds certainly helped me acquire observational and handling skills I still use to this day.

I now have extensive practical experience in several aspects of the overall conservation and protection of birds of prey and also the founding chairman of the UK charity Raptor Aid CIO. I’m an active field worker and member of several raptor study groups in the UK which include holding disturbance licences for many Schedule 1 birds of prey. I am also a licensed ringer and trainer under the BTO for birds of prey.

A lot of the experience and skills I have gained as a raptor field worker and whilst running Raptor Aid CIO have led to me working professionally on a range of jobs relating to raptors. These include general & specific species ecological consultancy, natural history film and media consultant, rope access work, leading educational workshops and advisory/support roles to other NGOs.

I’ve also been fortunate enough to travel extensively across the world working with some of the rarest and elusive birds of prey in places like the Philippines, Africa and America. I love collaborating with individuals and organisations to help them deliver and achieve whatever their aims and objectives are with birds of prey.
